Defold & auf der Hand

Drei Künstler:innen öffnen ihre Probenarbeit und laden dazu ein, den kreativen Prozess ihrer aktuellen Stücke mitzuerleben.

Danimissima & Anna Apprezzato präsentieren ihr 20-minütiges Duo „Defold“ – eine poetische Symbiose aus Akrobatik und Live-Musik.

Anschließend zeigt Jakob Vöckler ein Work in Progress seines Stücks „Auf der Hand“ – eine humorvolle Verbindung aus zeitgenössischem Zirkus, Puppenspiel und Pantomime.

Im Anschluss sind alle herzlich zu einer freiwilligen Feedbackrunde eingeladen.

Slipped

Sit down, take a deep breath, and yet still find no peace. Wars, climate change, the shift to the right, social division, inflation… and then there’s that damned chair, too. Nothing feels the same as it used to. No sense of stability. Just this creeping feeling that control is slipping away – that your own life is slipping through your fingers like sand. ‘Entglitten’ captures this feeling – and transforms it into an evening full of humour, artistry and surprising lightness. With one of the simplest everyday objects at its heart: the chair. But this chair is different. It resists, disappears, reappears, contradicts, wobbles, plays along – and, through elaborately produced animations and mysterious tricks, becomes a living counterpart, an adversary, a mirror. Slapstick meets moments of magic. Surprising acrobatics set against poetic imagery. An enchanting evening of theatre unfolds – tragicomic, intense, light-hearted and yet moving – telling of the loss of hope… and of how to find it again. A moving, humorous journey about falling down, getting back up and carrying on.

Open Stage

At our Open Stage, the stage belongs to various artists and their current work. The programme features fully-fledged acts, new routines, excerpts from works in progress and experiments that may be performed in front of an audience for the very first time. That is precisely what makes the evening so special: you never quite know in advance what’s going to happen. Different disciplines, styles and personalities come together – spontaneously, surprisingly and with no great distance between the stage and the audience. The Open Stage is a meeting place for the circus community and for anyone curious about contemporary circus. Not a run-of-the-mill evening, but a snapshot of what’s currently inspiring the performers and what they’re working on. Come along, discover new talent and experience an evening that won’t be repeated.
