A difference that brings them together and creates possibilities, rather than being an obstacle. Extraordinary acrobatics leave the audience in awe, whilst subtle humour brings a smile to their faces. Chris and Iris demonstrate, in a charming and inspiring way, how relationships shift and how they meet on equal terms. Philosophical questions are raised, absurd moments arise and a touch of magic takes the audience by surprise. Three wooden crates bridge the size gap and become playmates. Hand-to-hand acrobatics combined with physical theatre, dance and puppetry. Acrobatics performed with great precision and lightness; humorous, poetic and original.

‘Samhain Circus’ freak show
The Pepe Dome is transformed into a circus ring that blends elements of a circus, a freak show and a dark funfair atmosphere. Extraordinary acrobatics meet bizarre characters, surprising visuals and moments where you’re not always immediately sure whether to be amazed, laugh or perhaps turn away. ‘Samhain Circus’ plays on the unique atmosphere of Halloween: mysterious, wild and with a touch of humour. This isn’t a traditional horror show, but an unusual circus afternoon full of movement, excitement and surprises. What exactly can you expect? We’re not giving that away just yet. Suffice to say: on this day, some things at the Dome are not quite what they seem at first glance. Come along and experience Halloween under the dome.

The Pepe Dome as a centre for scientific research
Can a circus tent change the way we think? In her bachelor’s thesis, Sigrid Grün examines the Pepe Dome in Munich as a transformative space for a design thinking workshop with teachers on the topic of health. The article demonstrates how unfamiliar spaces can facilitate a shift in perspective, creativity and honest reflection – beyond institutional routines.

Training at the Pepe Dome
A regular programme of classes has been running at the Pepe Dome since May. Seven disciplines, six teams of trainers. We asked three people who come here regularly why they do so.
